Trudy was raised in a loving family and experienced the life-changing call of Christ as an adolescent. She went to Baylor University for college and while she had a hesitant interest in academics, she excelled in building Christian community around her for the long haul. She met her husband, Taylor, before graduating and they were married in 2010. They now have two daughters, who both delight and sanctify her daily.

The Howards moved to Houston in 2016 and found themselves at Seven Mile Road at its inception. They have been deeply shaped by this church community and count it a privilege to serve in caring and equipping roles.They have served as House Church shepherds for several years and find joy living in community with their group. Trudy is passionate about justice and unseen and underserved populations. She has been a YoungLives Mentor in southwest Houston since 2017 and loves those women and children deeply. Trudy works full-time at a local independent school as a database administrator and if she's in charge of her spare time, you might find her reading, being outside, or trying to convince her family to get another dog.
