Bay is a 'surfer.' She loves making new friends and spending unhurried time with old ones—precious gifts in the ever-changing and, at times, tumultuous tide of life. Her passion is to create space for busy people to experience the loving presence of Jesus, especially in seasons when he feels distant and unavailable. Bay desires to walk in quiet, simple intimacy with Jesus and invites others to do the same.

Bay was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She attended TCU, and following that, Carnegie Mellon University for graduate school many, many years ago. Bay is also a mother and grandmother. Her oldest son, Trey, is married to Grace, and they, along with their children, Grey and Betty, also attend Seven Mile Road. Her younger son, Kai, has settled in Chicago (for now).

After years of being a seeker, skeptic, and "hater" of the church (you can watch her testimony here), Bay now serves on the prayer team at Seven Mile Road and is trained as a spiritual director.
