ROBERT schudy
Elder
Robert has been married to Yvette since 2010. They have three energetic kids who love running around after worship. Robert and Yvette have been attending Seven Mile Road since January 2020. They both serve our body in various ways, including as House Church Shepherds, pre-marriage counselors, mentors, and volunteers with the kid's team.
Born and raised in Houston, Robert has lived here most of his life. He attended TCU, where the Lord changed his life forever. At TCU, Robert became involved in the campus ministry RUF, whose leader, Dustin Salter, taught students to think deeply about their faith and to love the local church for whom Christ laid down his life (Eph 5: 25-27).
After college, Robert returned home, spending time getting into dental school and serving with YoungLife at Memorial High School. In 2007, he started dental school, where he and Yvette were classmates. Not long after graduating from dental school, they moved to Brownsville, Texas, where Yvette grew up. They both served in Public Health as general dentists for four years before moving to Pittsburgh in 2016 so Robert could pursue his orthodontic training.
For Robert and Yvette, the local church has always been the cornerstone of their weekly rhythms in Houston, Brownsville, and Pittsburgh. They consider it a privilege to partner with Christ as he continues to use Seven Mile Road to embody and declare God's redemptive story to every Houstonian.
